We would like to introduce you to Tara Truitt, a young missionary whose motto is 'Go into the World and Do Good!' She joined "The World Race" through Adventures in Missions, to make that happen and she needs your help to keep her mission alive.
Tara has always loved to travel. When she graduated college, she knew that she wanted to dedicate her time to doing service work around the world and spread the 'Good'.
In January 2014, Tara joined Adventures in Missions (A.I.M.), which is a faith based, non-profit organization that sends hundreds of adults around the world on mission trips for The World Race: World Mission Trip. Teams of 70-80 'racers' travel to 11 countries in 11 months, crossing 3-4 continents. They perform various service acts to help anywhere there is a need. They help those that are trying to improve the lives of others in impoverished countries. World Racers live amongst the people they are helping, staying with area missionaries, at seminaries or living in tents. Racers live a nomadic life with all of their possessions contained in a single backpack.
Tara has been blessed to be a part of some amazing works. She has helped build orphanages, churches and libraries. She ministers to everyone she comes in contact with, from young children in orphanages to victims of sex trafficking.
The cost to be a part of this life changing experience is $16,254. With her insurmountable faith and through the kindness of others, Tara has raised $11,760 towards her goal but now she needs YOUR help. In order for her to remain in the race, she needs to raise $4,495 by July 1st, 2014. Please help us help Tara continue to "Go into the World and Do Good" by bidding on the beautiful crosses in this catalog. Let's keep Tara on her journey until she comes home in November!
